Carnivals and/or Fairs. If you have a county fair or one of the traveling carnivals coming through town, this is a great place to take your date. There is comfort in the crowd and you'll both have a great time riding rides, playing games, and enjoying the sights, sounds, and smells (cotton candy, funnel cakes, elephant ears, candied apples, and countless other carnival foods to make your mouth water) of the carnival. For a little romance be sure to keep the Ferris wheel and tunnel of love in mind. Visit the zoo. Believe it or not this can be a fantastically fun first date. A visit to the zoo will isn't what it used to be. Today there are rides, shows, and a ton of fun waiting around every corner. Learning about the animals in their habitats is a great way to spend the day and you might find that you are both having a lot of fun along the way. It's also something you probably haven't done on a first date before and that will make it a memorable event for the two of you.
