You are on your own and the doctors are not required to help out, especially since they are at the risk of not getting paid for their services.
It might be a great thing that doctors take an oath upon their elevation to the medical field, but it all comes down to money and that's where it's up to you to have the best insurance policy you can possibly own to make sure you are in good hands.
