subject: Call Center Industry Of The Philippines: Founding To Global Dominance [print this page]

The call center industry of the Philippines had become the largest provider of call center services in the global market, placing the Philippines as the call center capital of the world, outpacing that of India which was known for that recognition for many years.

However, like many successful industries, the call center industry had also started from nothing but a simple email managing services to one of the biggest and most successful industries in the Philippines.

Founding of the Call Center Industry

The call center industry started not as a provider of live answering service, but a provider of email response and managing services. However, this changed dramatically when third-party agencies had started to offer call center services for their clients.

Eventually, the demand rose for such services which led to the growth of new third-party companies and agencies all over Metro Manila, which prompted the start of the call center industry in the Philippines.

Rising Industry in the Philippines

What gave rise to the call center industry is with their diverse collection of call center services. Due to the rapidly increasing number of call center companies and agencies in the Philippines, the number of call center services had also significantly increased, introducing a number of new call center services, such as Business Answering Service like Order taking services, which allowed many businesses to achieve their goal in providing customer relation services for their business.

Because of these services, the industry was allowed to expand massively across the Philippine market, which further gave rise to the call center industry not only in the Philippines but in the global market.

Domination of the Global Market

Due to the rapid and healthy growth of the call center industry, along with the skills of Filipinos in customer relations as well as with the use of the English language, many foreign investors had landed in the Philippines to either outsource their call center services to companies and agencies in the Philippines, or to start their own call center business in the Philippines.

Whatever the reason, it gave the call center industry access into the global market, which was then placed as the 2nd largest provider of call center services in the world. Recently, however, the Philippines have outpaced India as the call center capital of the world. This is because of the industrys rapidly growing success as well as manpower to supply the needs for Live Answering Service in the global market.
