Hysteria is a neurotic over-reaction to an experience or situation. You are not hysterical in the medical sense of the word if you normally react to moments of stress by weeping uncontrollably or shrieking. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. These viruses are spread primarily through the air, but can also be transmitted through direct contact with infected secretions present on other people or on contaminated surfaces.
