Storage In Your Childs Bedroom

Storage In Your Childs Bedroom

Children seem to accumulate stuff quicker than anyone else, so a child's room needs plenty of spaces for you to store things. After all there is nothing worse than getting up to see your child in the night and tripping over the latest baby toy.

Try furnishing a wall with a big storage unit, this way toys and books can be put out of tripping distance and it keeps all toys and clothes in one place, meaning there is more floor space for your child to play.

Create a play space for children that don't have a table by putting a pull out drawer under the bed. Pull it out on castors and it creates a great idea for a functional space.

Another great idea is to use the space beneath the window to make a window seat, and make the lid lift up to store toys, bed linen or clothes that there isn't enough room for in the other storage space. It also makes a great place for your child to sit and read a book.

If your child is running out of space in their room then it's worth considering getting a raised bed. You can get ones that have desks underneath so that they have space to do their homework, and some of them even incorporate a foldaway bed for when friends come to stay. Alternatively if your child is a little younger, buy a bed that has storage built into it to store their toys and books.

If you are planning any major changes, check your Home Insurance policy first.
