So find a big hill and have a family race to the bottom.And, if you want your kids to be worn out for the rest of the day, this is definitely a great way to go!Make sure to bring a still or video camera along to record wipeouts! Putting the kids in charge of taking photos and video is another way to keep everyone engaged and from getting bored. who love to learn about and explore nature might love a nature hike in the woods where you try to identify animal tracks in the snow. For kids that love arts and crafts, collecting pine cones and leaves from outside and turning them into wreaths and other holiday dcor is a great activity.Making holiday cards is another great crafting activity.From construction paper, markers and glitter to digital photo projects, depending on the age and aptitude of the child, the options are limitless.

Cooking together as a family is one of the best winter activities for children.It's one of the best wintertime activities for children. On a side note: if you struggle to get kids to eat their veggies, have them cook a meal with veggies in it.They're much more likely to eat a meal that they helped to prepare.Of course, baking cookies and frosting cakes is a lot of fun for kids too.Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles might also appreciate these as gifts.
