I really enjoy my job and have been for the past 7 years. I have made many friends and I also have my best mate there. We both applied for the same post and because our interviews were brilliant, they employed both of as on the same post.
Every year at our office we have a Christmas party and we also do secret Santa. I really enjoy secret Santa because I find it amazing how you can end up with the most unusual Christmas gifts. Last year I got a pair of tweezers, till today I have been trying to figure out who it was that gave me a person pair of tweezers as a Christmas gift.
This year I picked my boss as my secret Santa person, now I have to think as hard on what to buy him. To top it all, our budget is 10, how can I possibly buy the guy that employs me a gift for just ten pounds.
I decided not to stick to the budget because anything under that budget looks really cheap and tacky. I have spent an hour looking on my own and have found nothing. I am meeting my best friend for lunch and after that we both will do our shopping together; I just hope I find something.
It's the day of our party and our secret Santa; I really hope my boss likes what I bought him. This party seems to be dragging this year, maybe because I'm really nervous and anxious. Its finally here, we all have our present on our hand and one by one each person is opening it. It's my bosses turn next, I think my heart stopped beating, and he has opened it and actually looks happy. Thank god he liked it.
