Buddhist Tour in India

Day 01 Delhi People from India and other places of the world are welcomed on arrival at Delhi and then moved to the hotel. Day 02 - Delhi

Tour of the significant town of old Delhi includes the superb Red Fort, Jama Masjid, biggest mosque in Asia, both got constructed by Shahjahan, Rajghat-memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. Afternoon, trip of New Delhi to consist of Humanyun Tomb, Qutab Minar, India Gate, Birla Mandir, Bahai Temple. Day 03 - Delhi / Patna

Leave for airport for early on morning flight to 2500 year very old city of Patna. On reaching Patna you are transferred to the hotel. Visit stupas holding pitcher containing ashes of Buddha and Ashok pillar put up by Emperor Ashoka to mark destinations blessed by Buddha. Day 04 - Patna / Rajgir

Morning go down to Rajgir capital of 6th century Magadha kingdom. It was a respected and valued site of Buddhas lectures. Buddha spent numerous years over here. Afternoon we are made to visit Nalanda - the world's very old university which was established in the 5th century. Day 05 - Rajgir / Bodhgaya

Early morning after a quick breakfast leave for Bodhgaya which is approximately 193 kms by road. Enroute visit Baraliar caves - the initial examples of rock cut caves. Day 06 - Bodhgaya

Bodhgaya is one of the most sacred Buddhist pilgrimage places. It was here that Gautama managed to get enlightenment and came to be known as Buddha under the "Bodhi" tree. Satabodhi temple, Japanese and Tibetan monasteries along with Magadha university museum are also to be visited. Day 07 - Bodhgaya / Varansi

Early morning just after breakfast move for Varanasi which is nearly six hours drive by road. You reach by the afternoon and then get transferred to the hotel. In the afternoon we are made to visit ghats and shrines and Benaras Hindu University. Day 08 - Varanasi / Sarnath

On the eighth morning you are taken for a boat ride on river Ganges to witness the gorgeous sunrise at Ganges. After breakfast tour to Sarnath, the main centre of Buddhism. It was here around 530 B.C that Buddha gave his first sermon after getting enlightened. Day 09 - Varanasi / Kishinagar

Afternoon we are driven to Kushinagar - the place where Buddha passed into Parinirvana. Visit Ramabha stupa which stands on the place where the body of the Lord was reduced to ashes Day 10 - Kushinagar / Lumbini / Sravasti

Morning excursion to Lumbini, the destination where Buddha took birth. An old shrine with an image presenting the nativity of Buddha is still sealed and kept. Day 11 - Balrampur / Lucknow / Delhi

Then you are driven back to Lucknow to catch a flight to Delhi. On reaching that place we are transfered to international airport for flight to the next destination.
