Starting in December, First Fridays will begin in Downtown Greensboro. From December 5 and continuing through the month of December, visitors and locals can experience Greensboros creative Downtown neighborhoods. Over 20 art galleries, retail l shops will stay open until 9 PM. Shopper can purchase art, homemade jewelry, clothing and home accessories.
During First Fridays, visitors and locals enjoy a self-guided tour of local art galleries, studios and retail shops. Many of the art venues will host special events, demonstrations and give visitors an opportunity to meet featured artists. The event is free and held on the First Friday of every month from 6-9pm.
Here are a few of the special events taking place on First Fridays:
Live Christmas Music Jazz singers will perform holiday favorites at Mack and Mack Wine and appetizers will be offered.
Holiday Open House- The local bead and coffee shop Terra Blue will feature 15-minute chair massages, tarot card readings and piano music by a local musician.
Art Bargain Shopping - The Winter Light Gallery & Art Studios will host an exhibit specially created smaller and affordable pieces of art
Free gift wrapping- one of the local craft stores, Winterfire Craft Gallery, will be offering its complimentary wrapping as well as refreshments to all of its customers.
