Why Most People Never Make Real Money Online

If so many people want to make real money online, why is it that most people don't? Is it because they aren't smart enough? No. Is it because they are not creative enough? No. Is it because they lack the technical skills to be able to do it? No. Is it because they don't have enough money to invest into their online venture? Again, no. Some people can start making money using the internet on their very first day. They can be short on intelligence, creativity, technical skills and financial resources, and still be able to generate money quickly. Others who have a wealth of all those characteristics can spend years trying to generate internet income with little to show for it. So what's keeping them from succeeding? It's having the wrong mindset.

The fact is, most individuals who want to make real money online do so with a "get rich quick" mindset. They fall for all of the marketing pitches that they read, and think that they can generate long-term internet income with little time and effort on their part. They don't treat their online ventures as businesses. Instead, they seem them as lottery tickets. They buy them, set them up, and expect the money to just roll in. But the reality is that this just doesn't happen very often. And this is especially true if you are purchasing a "system" being sold to countless others. If you want to hit a home run this way, then you need to come up with a unique idea. Following the herd won't get you very far.

So if you would like to increase your chances of making real money online, the first thing that you need to do is to make sure that you have the proper mindset. If you have the "get rich quick" mentality, you need to drop it. If you want to generate a stable income stream that will last for years, you need to treat your internet ventures as businesses.

What does this mean? If you opened up a regular brick and mortar business, would you just buy it and wait for others to find you? No, you would do consistent marketing to ensure that you generate enough prospects who have the opportunity to become customers. And this is the same with online businesses. You can't just start a website or blog and expect people to find it. You have to develop an intelligent marketing plan and take consistent action in order to get a steady and ongoing flow of traffic to your digital real estate. The better you are at doing this, the more income you will make.

Gone are the days when you can throw up a website and just forget about it. The "set and forget" process just won't work with the internet anymore. So don't believe the marketing hype that you read about starting a website and that not having to do anything to promote it. There is just too much competition on the web nowadays, so if you want to make real money online, you are going to have to put the effort to make it happen.
