But who is Paris Hilton really and how did her face become so well known?
Well Paris started off with one foot in the spotlight to begin with. She was extremely well known as the oldest of the four children of Richard Hilton and Kathy Richards. Hilton's grandfather founded the famous Hilton hotel chain and she spent much of her childhood in the lime light because of that.
As befits any super wealthy family, Paris shuttled between several fabulous homes throughout her youth, including a suite in the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in Manhattan, Beverly Hills, and the Hamptons. How about that? A Hilton staying in a Hilton. Who could have imagined it? But seriously, her parents currently own a mansion in Bel Air and another in the Hamptons where Paris has been spotted on occasion.
However, Paris Hilton (and her face)really became famous when she participated in a reality series, called The Simple Life. The idea for the Simple Life was in fact a very simple one.
The producers at Fox decided to see what would happen if they sent Paris Hilton and her sister Nicky, (who had never worked a day in their lives-- after all, they were born into money and who needed to work when you could simply live off of Grandpa's hotel chain) to live and work on a farm.
The show was a success for a short time and lasted for around three seasons before being canceled by the Fox network. But the real scandal and the thing that made Paris Hilton's face so well known was something called "one night with Paris."
This was a home video that was leaked onto the Internet which showed her making nice (and I don't mean just sweet talkin' - we're talkin' makin' nice in the very adult sense of the phrase) to her then boyfriend Rick Salomon.
Since that time, Paris has built herself quite a career and a name as a well known starlet. She became a singer and released her debut album in 2006, titled simply Paris. Paris Hilton's face was of course on the cover of the album and it did fairly well for her.
