Cash and Insurance for Your Home

Cash and Insurance for Your Home

Home insurance is an important factor to consider when you move, because if you tot up the amount you have spent on your belongings, you will understand how costly it would be to replace them. Think about cameras, TVs and appliances, but also clothes and DVDs. The money soon adds up. As many as four percent of people do not have any home insurance whatsoever, and one in four peoples policies do not cover them if there is more than five hundred pounds in cash stolen.

Its worrying too that at this time of year, crime statistics state that house burglaries rise by sixty three percent, with thieves knowing that you will have Christmas presents or cash before Christmas, and goodies after the festivities are over.

The advice is this; make sure that you read the small print of your home insurance policy to make sure that you would be covered if money gets stolen. Another good tip is to not put old boxes outside for the rubbish men. Take it to the tip instead as if a burglar sees a new LCDTV box displayed outside your house, they will know you have a new TV inside the house.

If you don't have Home Insurance, you need to buy it right away. There would be nothing worse than having your house broken into and all the Christmas presents stolen, not to mention other valuables that you own. Policies are relatively cheap in comparison to all the replacing you would have to do.
