Christmas Is Coming - Fancy Dress UK

Christmas Is Coming - Fancy Dress UK

2010 is nearing its conclusion however; for anyone interested in fancy dress in the UK "tis the season to be jolly". If you're like me and looking to move away from the traditional fancy dress of Christmases past, the Santa Clause outfits are out and alternative costumes for Childrens fancy dress and adult clothing is well and truly in.

O.k. I can see the attraction of having a houseful of Christmas and nativity based parties and associated clothing for the young and old alike BUT how about getting a lot more adventurous and taking fancy dress to the next level?

My initial thoughts include; Harry Potter outfits and fancy dress accessories for the children - Harry Potter being the clear favourite but what about a Voldemort costume for those favouring the bad guys or twining the Harry Potter outfit with his trusty owl - Hedwig.

Moving onto the toughest demographic (The Teens) fancy dress for this niche has a surprisingly large range of alternatives. Punk rocker, Friday the 13th and monster Groom outfits may not scream Christmas to the average celebratory enthusiast but how about TV and Movie characters, animal costumes and historical characters?

The modern Christmas can be whatever you wish to make of it classic adult occasions include; gangster themed New Year parties, masked occasions (dancing optional) and favourite film evenings. Whatever you do, please do not forget to accessorise.

The success of any fancy dress occasion is in the details baskets, brooms, gloves, hats, make-up and face paint is just the start of it crown, tiaras, fans and sticks and really turn a lounge into a high end fancy dress ball.

If you really want to be the talk of the town make sure that you give people attending your occasion themed gifts. These can be themed stationary for the children, lunch boxes, napkins and any associated take-a-ways which will make the memory of the occasion last.
