Take Your Christmas Holiday In Sunny Phoenix

Because you are like a lot of people located in North America the wintry, freezing temperatures that come along with the winter months can really get you downhearted. You do have a host of choices when it comes to leaving the freezing temps and let me suggest to you that Phoenix AZ is the perfect spot. With our winter daytime temps averaging in the mid to low 70's it's pretty tough to beat the desert climate.

While the Phoenix economy emerges from its collapse of the past couple years you'll find various deals in rooms, meals as well as activities. You will find a multitude of resorts offering specials as well as rates which are 30 and occasionally as much as 40-50% less than they where five years ago. Restaurant prices are also extremely aggressive, especially in the winter. Hunt for specials at on line websites such as Groupon, Expedia and Orbitz to call out a few.

I can spend several hours chatting about the scores of things to do around the Phoenix area coupled with the whole State of Arizona. Allow me to furnish you a couple ideas. With more than 300 golf courses in the Phoenix vicinity alone and over 500 located in the State of Arizona scores of winter guests come here for the golf. In my opinion it is the finest winter golfing destination in the Country. A few courses you many want to check out in the Phoenix area are Trilogy @ Vistancia, Trilogy @ Power Ranch, Talking Stick, The Biltmore and Las Sendas in Mesa. Some other courses I can recommend that aren't as pricey as the ones just mentioned would be Kokopelli, Viewpoint, The 500 Club, Painted Mountain and Ahwatukee Lakes.

You don't take a winter vacation to play golf? Head out to the dozens of hiking trails in the Phoenix area. This is one activity that is almost impossible to do here in the summer because of the heat. South Mountain, Camelback Mountain and the Superstition Mountain regions are some magnificent places to check out. There are also a number of agencies located in the region that lease mountain bikes if walking isn't for you. How does just relaxing by the pool with a good book in 75-80 degree weather sound... not to bad. Other activities many visitors come to our state for in the winter are tennis, shopping, fishing and sight seeing.

No matter what you are searching for in a winter vacation the Arizona/Phoenix region almost certainly provides it. For those who give the desert a try this winter you shouldn't be disappointed.
