subject: Kick The Habit How To Save Piles Of Money [print this page]

OK then, first a quick rehash; everybody knows [or should know by now] that smoking destroys a persons looks, a persons health and is also destructive to the health of everybody else in the same area, but what about the other issue that when understood should play a major role in helping you kick the habit completely and for good - what about the expense?

Smoking is very simply, one of the most costly health threats that's ever been created and if you decided to quit you'd be a whole lot healthier, all those around you would remain a whole lot healthier and the additional money you'd gain may well finance other things you'd love to do or buy but can't because you got to forever ensure you have the hard cash for your 'coffin-nails'.

Do you have any idea what your deadly habit costs these days? I mean, what about all those other things you could accomplish if you still had the money that you're using to bit-by-bit kill yourself with lethal tobacco smoke?

Let's parley for a while about real costs [we'll be very conservative];

So let's just thumb-suck here and say you smoke one pack a day and that pack of cigarettes costs just $2.50 - now that undoubtedly doesn't sound too much does it? - but, do the math, that's $912.50 for the year just for cigarettes.

And that's only the USA. What about the UK - again we'll be real conservative and imagine that a pack of your least expensive cigarettes cost 5.50 pounds sterling. Again maybe that doesn't seem a lot to you but do the sums - 5.50 each day for a year is 1,980.00 pounds sterling which at the moment of writing this, is a whopping $4,752.00 for the year.

That's a horrifying chunk of anyones' bank account to be blowing on something so pointless, risky and destructive!

How about we step it up just a little - what if you smoke two or three packs each day (as numerous smokers do) and what if your favored brand of cigarette is not the low-cost one I've quoted here but one of the more expensive brands and what if like most smokers, you smoke that little smidgen extra while you're having a drink with the bud's somewhere?

There's another possibility to also take into account; what if you're living in place or country where tobacco products or the financial exchange rate make smoking even more expensive? - are you perhaps spending as much as 3,000.00 pounds or more than $7,000.00 or even more on cigarettes in a single year?

Generally just about every smoker will avoid the math like the plague - they're exceptionally good at the very human tendency of making excuses NOT to do something and if they can afford to sponsor their distasteful [and damned expensive] dependency then they don't have to deal with the actuality of the monetary side of it.

From whatever angle you check it from, smoking costs a lot of money and that financial burden is getting more serious each and every day due to the growing unpopularity of smoking throughout the world.

Quitting your expensive [and poisonous] smoking habit will ensure there's more cash at your hip which you can use to buy those things that have genuine positive value, and you'll be able to do get pleasure from those things at your leisure - you'll maintain a longer life-span!

In summary; it's not just unnecessarily dangerous but also very expensive so why do it? Even though you're bound to find it a little tough at first, being able to kick the habit is much easier than you think YOU ONLY HAVE TO WANT TO!

Quitting smoking naturally, speedily, and permanently isn't and has never been about overly complicated systems and/or poisonous pills and patches - it's all about simplicity, a little bit of will-power and some genuine tried and tested tobacco-quitting knowledge.
