Nice Looking Titleist 909 F3 Fairway Wood Review

Launched in late 2008, the Titleist 909 F3 Fairway Woods are a very nice looking, well designed range of clubs. And as with most Titleist golf clubs, they are aimed mostly at mid to low handicappers.

The design of the Titleist 909 F3 Fairway Wood is unique in itself, and is clearly built with a purpose. It features a factory-installed weight screw in the sole that helps move the center of gravity deeper and allows for a more precise swingweight. It can also be used with a variety of customizable shafts, giving the user a very confident feeling that allows them to make the club their own.

Overall the size of these particular fairway woods from Titleist aren't going to overpower anybody. They are a relatively small series of clubs, yet that doesn't stop them from packing a powerful punch. Titleist rarely puts forth a club that doesn't feature plenty of power, and this set of fairway woods is no exception.

The Titleist 909 F3 Fairway Wood features a compact, pear-shaped profile and a deep face that produce mid launch with low spin. A modern shape with a Tour-proven profile creates a deeper CG (center of gravity) for added stability while the large, long face provides confidence and forgiveness. The sole contours minimize turf resistance and ensure the ground contact point remains forward, reducing bounce and skip and a factory installed balance weight helps position the CG deep and provides precise head-to-shaft matching. Finally, a precision cast, stainless steel body with a Carpenter steel face insert provides lively feel and increased ball speed.
