The Good Side Of Mooching

When one mentions the word mooch, what comes to mind are images of people free riding on others. Although this might not be a positive attitude, there are some situations that actually lead to this behavior, although, oftentimes, they are accidental in nature.

One such situation involves the airline industry. As much as airlines would want to make sure that they make money with all the seats in their flights, there are times when a passenger does not show up. It is because of this that some people were able to enjoy discounted seats. So what are the other ways by which you can avail of a discounted seat as well as airline travel vouchers?

1.Airlines usually give travel vouchers to people whom they have bumped off their passenger list. Keep in mind that, oftentimes, airlines overbook their flights in order to ensure that no seat would be left untaken. This means that, if you want to increase the likelihood of you being bumped off, make sure you book a flight during a schedule that is likely to be full

2.Or, you could also volunteer to be on a volunteer list. This list contains names of passengers that are willing to be bumped off should there be an excess of passengers. Make sure, however, that you travel light. Most airlines give preference when it comes to distributing airline vouchers to those passengers who do not have too much checked baggage with them since it lessens the probability of any baggage getting lost along the way.

3.If you are not truly satisfied with an airlines service, you can write them a feedback. Airlines usually send airline travel vouchers in order to compensate for any discomfort that their passenger had. This is especially the case if you have been patronizing the same airline for a long time.

Keep in mind, however, that these tips may not work for international flights. However, it does not hurt to check around. Also, if you are given airline travel vouchers, theres a great possibility that you can also get meal vouchers as well as free hotel accommodation should you need to wait

vernight for your flight.
