Days Out In London

London contains a host of exciting venues for tourists and family alike, from famous landmarks of Buckingham Palace and the London Eye to the eponymous St Paul's Cathedral and Trafalgar Square. The city also boasts four World Heritage Sites (the Tower of London, Kew Gardens, Westminster Abbey and Greenwich).

The medieval Tower of London used to house some very famous residents that included both royal and notorious prisoners. The tower has been restored with replica furniture and imbued with medieval smells and sounds! Visitors can tour the Jewel House and the area that housed famous prisoners such as Walter Raleigh, Guy Fawkes and Ann Boleyn and view their inscriptions made by the doomed prisoners on its stone walls.

Kew Gardens is another fantastic outdoor venue especially with the family, created in 1759 it is set in 121 hectares of beautifully maintained gardens. Visitors are treated to a collection of over 30,000 plant types and palm trees housed in the massive Palm House. London is a city bustling with sights and sounds that will delight both the novice tourists and the most experienced traveller. There simply is so much to see and do in this historic city overlaid by its hundreds of eclectic cultures.
