Iconic Travel Destionations Part 1

We all watch films, and there are places that we will recognise, despite never having visited. So if you are someone who loves these film destinations, why not visit?

Amity Island, Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts Made famous by the film Jaws Joseph Sylva State Beach became the setting for Amity Island in the film Jaws and you can visit the dock and see the place where Jaws was strung up. Just don't go in the water...

Convent of Agios Ioannis Prodromos, Skopelos, Greece made famous as the chapel in Mamma mia! Mamma Mia has some of the most stunning backdrops for a film, and the convent is one of them. The convent sits on the top of a 100 metre rock formation, and its a hike to the top. Sing ABBA tunes to make it go quicker!

Caesars Palace Las Vegas Made more famous by The Hangover visit some of the places in Vegas that you have seen in the film, as they are easily accessible, although you might find the actual suite they stayed in a little expensive.

Matamata, New Zealand Made famous as Hobbiton in the Lord of the Rings trilogy an entire hobbit village was set up here, and although it has since been removed, you can still see the location of the Shire and the other hobbit homes. Locals even offer a hobbit tour for visitors.

If you are planning on making more than one trip this year, then consider taking out an Annual Travel Insurance policy to make it cheaper in the long run.
