The Rite is based on the book titled The Making of a Modern Day Exorcist', which was written by Rome based Matt Baglio. In 2009, the book was released over Doubleday. It highlights the real events of the author, who took part in a priest exorcist seminar in the Vatican. He has penned down his real experiences in this book.
Mikael Hafstroem has directed this movie, which will be distributed by Warner Bros. Michael Petroni has penned down the script of this supernatural thriller.
