There are generally differing genres that people buy within when it comes to purchasing a gift for someone else.
Smellies'- the term used for buying bubble bath and a last minute kit that is generally in some kind of 3 for 2. It is a safe choice for someone you may not know too well, but know that they will like, because let's face it, who doesn't like shower gel or a bath sponge.
Socks are the gift that you are given whether male or female and are the fail-safe option, you cannot go wrong with a pair of socks- or so the people that buy them think. Saying that each year Christmas themed slipper socks appear at some point and we all know we wouldn't do without them throughout those cold wintery nights.
On occasion it is nice to buy a bottle of wine for someone that shares a love of the red grape or even a cheeky box of posh chocolates. When purchasing for someone you may not know you may be risking buying food or alcohol for someone that cannot drink or eat it but on that note, it's the thought that counts so checking for allergies or addictions may be worthwhile and a little secret project in trying to find out the information beforehand.
Either way, Christmas is the season for giving so now you've got some ideas why not jump into your ford fiesta, Birmingham has a great shopping centre and if that doesn't take your fancy you could always drive further afield.
