Mobile Phone Insurance – Living La Vida Loca!

Mobile Phone Insurance Living La Vida Loca!

No, this isn't an article about Ricky Martin, nor is it about online translation nor about speaking Spanish. Many younger people today lead hectic lives. People's lifestyles have changed dramatically over the last 20 years to the point where frenetic would probably be a better description. They hardly have time to finish doing one thing before they are planning the next one. There are theories that this will lead to early `burn out` and all sorts of other psychological damage that will only become apparent in later life. Let's face it; we all thought in the 1960s that life was `helter skelter` to quote the song title, but by today's standards, they were positively tranquil.

It is because of this headlong rush into suggested oblivion that the more sensible younger people today take advantage of the things that have been put in place to try and ameliorate some of the more destructive aspects of modern living. For example, there are a myriad of different types of insurance covers available specifically tailored to meet the needs of the busy up and coming executive on the move. This cover is needed because of the high cost of the technology we use, like mobile phones.

We need mobile phone insurance more than ever because mobile phones today are not simply a means to call our friends and family. They are now accepted as part of the tools of many jobs, if not all jobs. We all need our phones and we are lost without them.

But it isn't just the physical loss of our handsets that can cause the most damage. We often make the mistake of having a phone full of important contacts. If we ever lose our phones, can we remember all those contacts and their numbers? I do not think so.

So, mobile phone cover today is not just about replacing the handset if it is lost or stolen, but a whole lot more, for example, there are policies available that will store and save your contacts should you ever lose your handset. That way they can be safely reinstated when you receive your new one. No more floundering around, calling the ones you can remember to try and get the ones that you cant!

One of the main benefits of mobile phone insurance that have affected me personally was not initially evident; however, when I got my first bill, it struck home.

I had ordered a new phone. It did not arrive. I called them and they checked with the delivery company, but it could not be found. They sent me a replacement. When it was delivered, the same guy delivered it that delivered the original and it all became apparent what had happened. I was out when he called, so he decided to leave it at a neighbour's house. The nearest one that was in at the time was about four doors away. When he told me where he had originally delivered it, I called the phone company and they eventually called the police as it was theft. The guy was caught in the North east somewhere with my original handset! He had been the boyfriend of the neighbour.

A few weeks later I got a bill showing over 200 of calls! Luckily, because of the circumstances, it was waived; however, it was pointed out that mobile phone insurance covered that eventuality.
