Spring Time Is Clean-up Time

Even though winter isn't really harsh in Houston, spring is still the time the take stock of where our yards and houses are and get the projects done that we need to. While the northern states have been buried in three feet of snow for the last four months, Houston remains pleasant and mild. What a joy to live in a moderate winter climate. Spring is still upon us and it is time to get busy before the hot summer months descend.

Spring is home project time. Some people love to wield a hammer and saw and power tools and hit these projects themselves. Others are either too busy at work or don't have the desire or skills for remodeling and heavier projects, they can hire Houston handymen to help get the project off the ground and to completion. Have you long desired a new deck, a gazebo, a water feature, a walkway or new shutters or paint? Spring is a great time for these projects. Do them yourselves or hire professional.

Spring is also the time to take stock in your lawn care for the upcoming summer months. Again, some people love to care for their own lawns, taking great pride in the manicure and care of their green space. Others due to age, time, single mothers, or other circumstances like to hire a Houston lawn care service to help with these weekly tasks.

If you are feeling really energetic a Houston remodel project is perfect for Spring. Remodel jobs can include kitchens, baths within existing walls or for even more ambitious projects like room additions, contractors and professional builders are probably a good idea.

To enjoy a more relaxing summer and make a beautiful place for entertaining this summer, get the home improvement projects out of the way this spring. Nothing is worse than wanting to take a trip or a weekend away during the summer but due to involvement in a huge home project being stuck home weekend after weekend after weekend. Get them done early to fully enjoy the warm summer evenings on the patio entertaining with family and friends.
