Small Budget Travels Around The Tropical North Queensland

If you are considering traveling to the Tropical North Queensland region of Australia but are lacking the funds to plan this exotic getaway then consider staying at one of the backpacker hostels in this region. The YHA has many resources that you can use to plan your Australian getaway on a budget.

The Tropical North Queensland area is blessed with four wonderful backpacker hostels, and there are additional hostels in the areas of Queensland and Brisbane. If you consider a hostel something less than what you would get at a traditional hotel then you will be pleasantly surprised. All of these hostels are well kept and very nice, the biggest difference about them is that you will be sharing a living space and a bedroom with other travelers. The hostels offer a good deal on accommodations along with alot of the niceties you would find at larger hotels.

For example, there is a backpacker hostel in the Port Douglas accommodations offerings. It's called the Port O'Call hostel, it's near the center of town right off 4 Mile Beach and is a four star eco-lodge. Here you will find laundry facilities, a tropical outdoor pool, an internet cafe and a full kitchen.

On site you will find a bistro that offers meals for those on a budget and a full service bar. They also offer complimentary coffee and tea to their guests and handicapped access. This resort style hostel is one of the best in the TNQ region and is a very popular place for travelers to stay both because of the location and the great price.

This hostel, the Port O'Call is just one of the wonderful YHA backpacker hostels in this area, but there are more in Cooktown, Mission Beach and Cape Tribulation also. You might think you can't afford a holiday in Tropical North Queensland but with the option of the affordable YHA hostels all around the area you can have the type of holiday you imagined even within your budget.
