Don't say 'You make me so upset that I can't talk to you any more'. Instead you can say 'I have noticed that I am becoming more and more upset. I want to continue to discus this issue with you, but I fear that I cannot control myself. Therefore could you please excuse me, I need a short break. After that, we can continue what we are discussing'.

Before you say anything, you have to plan it. Don't just say anything that pops up in your mind as it may make matters worse. Be sure to be clear about how you feel and what you need.
