Why Holiday Appitizers?

Why Holiday Appitizers?

I like to call them "Finger Foods" for a couple of reasons. As the holiday approaches, time seems to be getting away from me. The guest will still arrive and most of us want something simple and easy to make for a little appetizer before the party begins. Or like so many are now , the evening is filled with laughter and chasing the children and its just plan simpler to have little things to snack on then to get everybody to sit down.

They are great way to have a little something if you are having just an open house to friends to stop by and just share a little time together over the holidays. I like this idea better anyway , faster to prepare , you can have a variety of munches , thus appealing to more people.

I bet we all have our family's favorite holiday finger food. Would love to hear from you with your recipe and how it became a holiday favorite. I thought I would see what with the internet what I could find . Well I managed to get the choice of about 14 million hits. Like I have enough time to look around in hopes of finding something different. I did indeed check a few.

What I want though is to find some that won't break the bank . Or they would take way more time then I have. There has to be some reasonably cost effective appetizers that people know about. It would be nice also to have a name that I can pronounce and doesn't require a chief to make it. Don't want to go back to school here. There has to be some really good tasting finger foods that require what the average person has in their house. I don't mind picking up a few different things but don't want to plan a shopping trip to the grocery store to purchase nothing but items for appetizers.

So as the holiday approaches, I want to reach out to the many who took the time to read this and ask you to share with me yours! I will post them and share with like minded others looking for a simple appealing appetizer. I wish you and your a very Happy Holiday Season. Back To My Kitchen
