The castle has been the venue for several programs, exhibitions, concerts, receptions, civil ceremonies, banquets and outdoor events. The "Cliff Top" grounds are available for public visits daily; however, you will have to pay car parking charges. The castle and grounds is wheelchair accessible. The Highcliffe castle is open from 1st February to 23rd December from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. After exploring this castle you can pick up some gifts at the gift shop before returning to your holiday cottage.

Go Ape High Wire Adventure

If you take pleasure in adventure, then you should visit the Go Ape High Wire Adventure Park. You can simply get to the park without much difficulty if you are staying at one of the holiday cottages. The Dorset holiday cottages provide unmatched comfort and unlimited adventure opportunities given that it is located near popular tourist attractions. The adventure park is where you can get your fill of adventure. The Zip Wire and the 40 ft rope ladder are definitely worth trying. If you are up to the challenge, you can try the high wire rope bridge. The park is open from 26th March through 31st October and during weekends in February. Hardy Monument

The hardy Monument is located in Portesham, a short distance away from the Dorset holiday cottages. This tall monument was built in memory of Vice-Admiral Sir Thomas Hardy in the year 1844. Sir Hardy was flag captain of the battleship HMS Victory. You can take the trip from your holiday cottage and visit this site and some others.
