Small Steps To Curb Climate Change

Don't you feel that the climate is getting warmer every year? Even if you might have not paid attention to the warm climate you must have certainly heard or read about the global climate change issues that is one of the hottest topic all around the world. Many scientists believe that our current technology is the main reason for such alarming levels of climate change and to eradicate this problem we have to collective make an attempt to fight against the odds and come out with new green technology that would consume fewer natural resources and is environment friendly. However, we are just normal human beings who know how to use technology and hence making green technology is something beyond our reach. However, there are some small steps that we can take in order to help our environment.

Let's begin right from our house. Do you enjoy gardening? If you do than start planting some trees around your house because if every one of us plants a single tree there will be billions of new saplings ready to grow into trees that will save us from this global climate change problems. Today, most of us are busy planting trees in their Farmville profile but if they do the same in real life than things would change quickly. When you are at home try to use the electricity efficiently and switch off electrical appliances when not in use. You can even start using CFL bulbs that consume less electricity than a normal bulb. Apart from that try and shut down your computers and other electronic devices instead of keeping them on standby mode.

At work, try not to print documents that are not required. It has been surveyed that most of us waste a lot of papers while printing incorrect documents and the more we waste paper the more trees we will need to cut down to manufacture more paper. You can even start working smartly at office rather than working for long hours and keeping the computers working. Scientists and top CEOs believe that the longer they work the lesser productive they become and therefore small work shifts should be scheduled where people can complete their work quickly and save some electricity. Individuals should realize that they can carry their own mug at offices rather than using the disposable paper cups for tea and coffee. On an average more than 2500 paper cups are destroyed in every office every single day which is a huge figure.
