What's fashionable in Kids Shoes

This summer for the pre-school age, canvas pumps are proving the most popular and come in a range of designs with the floral theme extending to kids footwear. Sequins and other embellishments adorn these shoes which appeal to young girls. The canvas pumps also come with Velcro straps which are suitable for active young boys.

For junior girls, splashes of colour are the key this summer. Sandals are embellished with studs, gems, sequins and metallic colours. For junior boys, graffiti style skate shoes are a must and prove that the return of the 80s is not only for the adults!

Back to school shoes are a big part of the kids shoe range; it's the number one shoe item being purchased by parents and it is also the footwear that could propel kids into the cool club'. Ballet flats are the must have's for girls going back to school. This year's ballet's offer edgy detailing and studs in a wide variety of colours and materials. Another hit on the back to school shoe range for girls are sporty versions of Mary Jane's, which are classy and offer a bit of pizzazz.

Converse trainers have rarely been fashionable, and if your child is screaming for a pair there are some great new prints available such as glitter, polka-dots and starts or hearts. For skater boys the converse are a must have and as they always seem to line the shelves season to season, they are a welcome investment.

Crocks are still in whether you are a fan or not. There are a lot more choices this season from Mary Jane's to all-terrain. The perfect footwear for the active kids as they are breathable, comfortable and most importantly durable.

Of course kids like to look like adults wherever possible, so children's footwear mimics the trends of adults footwear. The gladiator sandals for young girls are catching on. Although a lot more simple than the adult versions, these sandals contain straps and studs to give them a bit more jazz.
