Why You Need Carbs To Lose Weight And Tone Your Arms

We used to hate carbohydrates and then we started to accept them. Unfortunately, there are still a lot of people who still hate them. Perhaps you still hate carbs.

Thus, here are 6 reasons why no carb dieting is destined for failure:

1. Your brain needs them: Your nervous system, including your brain, needs a constant supply of glucose (broken down carbohydrate) to function at peak capacity. Additionally, your brain needs carbs to replenish feel good chemicals.

2. Your burn less calories: The main source of energy your muscles use when exercising is stored carbohydrate in the form of glycogen. And if you have low levels of glycogen you can't exercise with intensity. And if you can't exercise with intensity, your caloric burn will be minimal.

3. Worsened fat metabolism: There are certain fat burning processes in your body that require substrates from carbs to optimize fat oxidation. And if you take out carbs from your diet, you compromise the processes' ability to burn fat.

4. They prevent muscle breakdown: Ironically, carbohydrates and not protein, prevent the breakdown of muscle tissue. You see, when you have carbs, your body has no need to break down muscle for energy. But if you lack carbs, your body seeks out protein from your diet and muscle for energy.

5. Poor cholesterol balance: Good cholesterol and bad cholesterol need to be in balance for optimal circulation. Optimal circulation is needed for the best recovery and the most efficient fat burning. If you take out carbs, your cholesterol profile can worsen.

6. No more muscle tone: You need carbs to have toned muscles. This happens because a muscle without carbs is a muscle that loses most of its water content. This is like a half filled water balloon-it looks jiggly and undefined and wrinkled.

Eating carbohydrates is essential for the best and healthiest fast loss. If you take them out of your diet, you will suffer. So make sure you take action here now, not later!
