Cheap London Olympics 2010 Ticket Idea Scrapped

Plans to sell a big number of Olympics and Paralympics tickets at a cheap and affordable rate have been scrapped due to organisers being unable to raise enough funds to cover the cost of supplying cheaper tickets.

Organisers are hoping to bring in 441 million pounds from the sale of around 10 million Olympic and Paralympics ticket sales. They are now going back on a promise that all tickets bar two million were to be priced at either 50 or less and the other promise of 4.3 tickets to be priced at 20 or less has also been scrapped.

Organisers for the London 2012 games are due to produce a new ticket policy this week which is set to include the new pricing bands. The policy has been approved in advance by the International Olympic Committee.

It has been reported that officials have stated that 75 per cent of the tickets will be made available for public purchase. The remaining tickets will be used as part of thr hospitality and travel packages as well as being taken up by sponsors and committee members.

The new plan is now to price tickets for the most popular events such as athletics, swimming and the opening and closing events to be pried the highest, with a few cheaper seats that have poor views available. The Paralympics are expected to be much more affordable, which is great news for the huge Fan base the Paralympics have. The tickets for the Paralympic games are going on sale early next year.

Recently the IOC president visited sites in London and Stratford to take a look at the venues in order to check progress. The venues will be under much scrutiny and the standards will be high.

Some of the Paralympic activities involve the use of mobility aids which are subject to strict rules. Visit Prodo for the best SEO chester
