Those who were offered a paying job were particularly easy access to the Danish labor market. There is no specific requirement for education, a field or the specific nature of the job. The scheme also applies to those who have decided for asylum in Denmark.

If you are a Nordic citizen, you are free to live, study and work in Denmark. If you are EU / EEA or Swiss citizen residence in Denmark sought on the basis of EU rules on freedom of movement, you may be subject to special regulations.

Condition

Your work salary must have a gross annual salary of no less than 375,000 DKK. You must have a written employment contract or job offer which specifies the conditions of pay and employment. The pay and conditions of employment must correspond to Danish standards.

In some cases, you must obtain a permit in Denmark. For example, physicians trained abroad must be authorized by the Danish National Board of Health.

Duration

Your residence permit can be granted or renewed up to three months before your passport expires. This means that if your passport expires in 12 months, you can not get a permit for nine months, or your license may be extended by nine months.

You may be granted a residence permit valid for one month before your first day of work, if you declare that you are able to support yourself and family members accompanying them during the month before starting work. Otherwise, your residence permit will be valid for 14 days before your first day of work.
