I have been asked what happened to our efforts not so long ago, why did we stop and what went wrong. Nothing, other than in the present economy, with financing becoming more and more difficult, our efforts and unfortunately more children suffered. No longer were we able to afford fliers, promoting our groups member groups. The cost of running the website, just the day to day expenses, plus a ton of other cost, that up until our departure from our efforts were being paid for by the founder and other advertising, active community business leaders.
In a heart that has not stopped since we last were active until now, we have developed a plan of action to assist us in those efforts to handle the cost of making our efforts to protect children more effective and secure. Making our dreams of helping families more likely to succeed. I am ashamed that our constitution was not able to provide that alone! Having to refuse public finding as a non-profit to allow us our constitutionally protected rights to say what needs to be said and in some cases do what needs to be done. Without fear of loosing our tax status. We will not give up those rights for a non-profit status ever!
