The Best Free Ways To Advertise Your Website Online

When it comes time for you to start advertising your website, you don't necessarily HAVE to go the paid way. In fact, most people that market their websites online choose to do a paid and a free way to get the maximum amount of visitors to their websites. So, here are a few of the top ways to advertise your site for free. First off, you should always consider "signatures". These signatures can be placed at the end of ALL the emails you send out, forums, blogs, etc. The signature can be whatever you want.

My forum sigs are very plain and simple. They have a few words to make people interested, and they include the URL to my website. My email sigs are a little more in-depth and include my main website with a few words, my twitter site with a few words, my YouTube site with a few words, etc. It also includes my full name, my position at the company I own (or the one you work at), the name of my company, hours of operation, etc. This gives a FULL view of everything my customers or could-be customers need to know. Also, on top of signatures, I use gmail's auto reply service to send a select amount of info to ANY person that emails me.

It could be a customer, Joe Shmo, or someone that sees my email and it piques their interest. Next, you have sites that will let you post free ads. These are sites like free classifieds, directories, advertising forums, etc. Free ads are a superb way to reach out to people because you can literally post to millions of different sites online and have a better chance at catching someones attention! These ads will contain the same info as something like your signature, but this time you can get even more in-depth with what you are offering - have it be a service or a product.

Make sure you don't make it too long, you still want there to be some mystery with these classified ads! Third, you have blogs - these can be your own or someone else's, just make sure you don't spam kids! You can find many kinds of free blogging sites online such as Myspace, Blogger, Wordpress, Drupal, Live Journal, Mashable, TypeAd, Blogspot, etc. You can upgrade on a lot of these, but this cost's money. You should be posting 1 blog every 1-3 days in order to keep the content fresh, and to get the search engines to keep watch over your blog and index everything you write!
