The 3 Top Reasons Why Everyone Ought To Buy Tv Shows On Dvd

Today, it can make a lot of sense to buy TV shows on DVD. When I was a youngster, the 1st ad in an hour long television show would come after twenty minutes of show. Now it appears like you get six minutes of TV followed by three to six minutes of ads. If, like me, you don't own a TiVo, DVR, or other recording mechanism, you may even give up on television. Personally, with all the reality television shows out there, I'm leaning towards dropping television. However there are several excellent, well-written series that are showing on TV, and I would not want to miss them. The solution to my problem is to buy the series on DVD (or on Blu-ray). Here are the 3 main reasons to do that.

No Advertisements. By seeing your desired shows on DVD, you can omit all the advertisements. By not having to walk around singing bad jingles all the time is worth the cost!

Engagement. Having to pause for a whole seven days to catch up with your favorite characters can be annoying. And worse yet, having to hang on between season breaks can cause you to forget the plot, or cause you to stop thinking about less significant information. If you purchase the series, you can view them when you want to, as little or as much as you want at the time.

Additional Features. Most of the packaged series present extra features like deleted scenes or interviews with the director or a number of members of the cast. For those of you who just can not get enough of your favorite characters, this is a great additional benefit. You get to see alternate endings which were an option. You can view deleted scenes that were initially going to be part of the subject matter, but ultimately went to the editing room floor as a result of any of a variety of limitations. These limitations are usually that the television show and or motion picture was going to be too long, or that the subject matter was deemed to be unnecessary and eliminating it might not adversely influence the audience's ability to follow the story line.

When you buy TV shows on DVD, it also allows you have the opportunity to delve in and engross into the drama without being interrupted by having to hang around pending the following week's chapter or to have a succession of television commercials break up your viewing experience. It will be a much more rewarding means of seeing TV.
