I wrote an article titled "Can You Make Instant Money Online?" to make people aware that a lot of products which advertise for this keyword, or claim you can "make instant money online," are probably best left alone.
I imagine people searching for this keyword are affected by the current economic recession and may be having financial troubles and the last thing they need is to be taken advantage of while looking for a legitimate way to make money online.
It is true, you can make money online, but it takes time to learn the internet marketing basics; which when starting it is best to focus on one or two particular media in internet marketing (i.e. social media, blogging, video, etc.). Once those are mastered another media can be added or outsourced.
There are two ways I can thing of to make instant money online. One is to buy into an established internet-based business. Two is to pay someone to make a website or blog, pay someone to drive traffic to it either organically or through pay-per-click. The second way can be fairly quick depending on how complicated the set-up is and how busy the designer is.
Even paying people to do everything, you still need to have products or services to sell, which most people starting a home-based online business do not and need to find a niche. Affiliate programs are one of the easiest ways to start making money online, even with just knowing the internet marketing basics. The goal is to learn as much as possible, you can never learn too much.
Doing everything yourself may take longer and leads to a mix of different feelings, but it is very rewarding seeing your efforts pay off! I am constantly buying new courses and training materials, always wanting to learn as much as possible about internet marketing; the basics of new media and advanced methods in others I have been working on.
It will take time to get everything set up, a foundation of sites and tools, to be able to make money online. Patience, persistence, and dedication is what is needed to be successful, as well as learning as much as possible and applying what is learned.
So be cautious if you see and advertisement saying "make instant money online" or something to that affect where the catch is you do not have to do anything. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true it usually is!
