Phish Tickets - A Wonderful Summer With Their Tour

Phish comes back to the stage this summer for an wide two-leg Summer Tour, kicking off June 11th in August at Chicago covering with a two-night stand at Jones Beach in Wantagh, NY. Stops along the way include a return to SPAC, Hartford, Merriweather, and Alpine Valley.

The first part of the tour ends with their show outside of Atlanta, GA in the 4th July. After a break, the band will start again the tour on the West Coast with a 3 night stop at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA pursued by a comeback to Telluride, CO for the first time since 1991.

The band's fans declared their excitement to the Tour and waiting impatiently.

Phish is a band formed in the '80s with a quirky mix of styles built on multi-part compositions and improvisation, and grew into a touring juggernaut in the '90s. They took a hiatus in 2000-02, and then broke up in 2004.

In a statement of the band's website, Anastasio wrote "We don't want to become caricatures of ourselves, or worse yet, a nostalgia act,". And he added "We realized that after almost 21 years together we were faced with the opportunity to graciously step away in unison, as a group, united in our friendship and our feelings of gratitude. ... For the sake of clarity, I should say that this is not like the hiatus, which was our last attempt to revitalize ourselves. We're done."

As it is said, Union is strength, each of the band members worked on solo projects, but none reached the level the four achieved collectively.

There is some news that will thrill local Phish fans. The band will play 3 San Francisco Bay Area dates this summer. Particularly, it is said that Phish will perform Aug. 5-7 at the UC Greek Theatre in Berkeley.

That's the first confirmed batch of dates in what should be another enormous summer for the band. These Greek performances should be among the toughest tickets of the season - the Greek holds a large number of fans.
