GLOBAL EDUCATION Award has been instituted on 2009, by Global Civil society CCLP Worldwide to recognise individuals, non-governmental organisations and degree granting institution from throughout the world that demonstrate extraordinary effort, innovation, leadership and excellence in initiating and supporting educational efforts or support or campaign or project to humanity. CCLP Worldwide not only recognises prominent and famous international NGOs and celebrity, but also the smaller, lesser-known non-government organisations (NGOs) and not very famous in the least developed countries, whose valuable contribution may have gone unnoticed and unappreciated on social front.

The award committee headed by ambassador Dr Lamartine Hollanda Junior received number of nominations from around the world for coveted Global Education Award 2009 and the jury members took over three months to decide the winners of Global Education Award out of 20 prescreened nominees of Global Education Award 2009.

On November 21, 2009, the chairman has announced the winner of Global Education Award 2009.

The chairman and members of jury panel have unanimously decided and affixed their seal of confirmation to Kim Feinberg from South Africa and Dr Niranjan C Bhat from India jointly as winner of Global Award

Dr Bhat is an anti-war / environmental / human rights / peace / privacy activist, a champion of good causes, an engineer by profession, an industrial physicist, an engineering economist, an international ideologue, a modern-day satyagrahi, a futurist/naturist, an online volunteer and a world changer. Dr Bhat is also an honorary adviser to the government of India and has been actively involved and instrumental in the concept and development of the 'Corporate Governance', 'Disaster Management Plan', 'E-governance', 'Information Technology Act', 'Right To Information Act', 'Office of Profit Bill', 'New Companies Bill', 'Limited Liability Bill' as a advisory member of these committee, since 2001.

Kim Feinberg is noted socialite, active human rights activist and chief of Tomorrow Trust, NGO for children education and livelihood.

The chairman and members of jury has decided not to issue any award in organisation category.
