subject: The HP HPE-210y is Best Buy's Most Sought after Gaming Desktop [print this page] The HP HPE-210y is Best Buy's most widely used gambling desktop constructed for the allowance gamer. It's obtained the AMD Phenom II quad-core processor humming along at several.0GHz, 8GB PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM for great multitasking, and the ATI Radeon Hd 5450 images card which adequately handles game titles at decreased resolutions. The massive 1TB tricky drive and Blue-ray Disc-enable DVDRW/CD-RW generate are good touches. It comes with Windows 7 Household Edition (64-Bit), wireless N networking, 7 USB ports, and a 15-in-one media reader (aren't those people turning out to be extinct?).
The HP HPE-210Y is costs $899 at Best Buy. It's a store item, not an outlet item. Affirmative! You can invest in it at the nearby Greatest Purchase shop.
What's it superior for?
So is this is a fine desktop computer? It's a good desktop computer if you love playing standard 3-D dvds like spore, The Sims, and Environment of Warcraft. If you're into further really serious discs like Service of Heroes or Society in Conflict you'll either demand to acquire the device and replace the ATI Radeon High definition 5450 artwork card (and 300W ability produce) or continue to keep searching. The HP HPE-210Y has a potent three.0GHz processor and 8GB of RAM but the ATI Radeon Hd 5450 just doesn't have the capacity to just not adequate electrical power to render a whole lot more than very low level resolution game titles. This Personal pc Shopper review indicates the $49 GPU is a slight around the prior Radeon High definition 4550. The Radeon 4550 had previously gotten a score of 18.a couple of frames per second (fps) in their 1,280x1,024 Corporation of Heroes analyze. The Radeon Hi-def 5450 obtained a 22.8fps on the similar check...not so excellent! Each cards turned in the exact regular frame rate of 11fps in their Globe in Conflict test.
Individual Opinons:
You'll get that the HP HPE-210Y has 20 evaluations with a 4.4 Star rating at Bestbuy.com. Here's a summary of the positives and negatives:
Positives > Users who spend money on this device for essential gambling (like StarCraft2) are content with it. The 5450 images card will deal with mid to affordable degree images detail on SC2. One other gamer plays League of Legends, Entire world of Warcraft, and Left four Dead 2. This method runs LoL and WoW smoothly at mid-variety configurations. It can take care of running these matches at larger options, but the frame-rate drops drastically. An alternate buyer did some significant researched and decided on the HPE-210y since of its competitive price. He's not a major gamer but does view some over the internet videos. He says that the video buffering has not been noticeable. The program is relatively quiet and sleeps very well. Most customers explain that the bottom line with this technique you get what you pay for: hassle-free/standard several-D gambling, entertainment, and browsing the web, email, and finances.
Negatives >A single person pointed out that the movie card is sub-par. It will run Country of Warcraft fine for the most aspect, with frame rates ranging from 60 when there's not a good deal heading on to 20-30 when there's any kind of action happening (and this is with most game visuals set to reduced or medium). Most of the time although playing, the movements had been sluggish and it felt like I was playing underwater with most animations becoming slow or delayed a bit. He replaced the movie card with the 1 Gig NVIDIA 9800 GT and the 300W strength deliver that fixed the dilemma. The new appliance now runs like a champ with no delays, no sluggish movements, no complaints. Replacing the 300W energy supply adds a second $50-$150 to your total price tag. Upgrading the movie card can expense as a lot of as $400.00.
