Holiday Parks - The Recession-friendly Break

The current economic climate understandably has many people cutting back where they can; whether that means renting a film on Saturday night and watching it with friends rather than going clubbing or to restaurants on the weekend, or forgoing the increasingly expensive family holidays. However with the economic climate becoming increasingly stressful, many of us still feel that we need a holiday, which is where holiday parks can be the ideal compromise.

Rather than playing roulette with the exchange rate across the world, increasing amounts of people are finding that the recession is the perfect opportunity to rediscover the joys of holidaying in England. Where in previous years, the Pound was worth almost double what the US Dollar was and enjoyed a favourable rate to the Euro, the costs are now so much closer that our holiday money simply doesn't go anywhere near as far as it used to abroad. Staying in holiday parks in the UK allows for us to enjoy a fun holiday in a beautiful part of the country while always knowing exactly how much we are spending.

Aside from the fact that they are cheaper than holidaying in another country, holiday parks in the UK eschew the frequently stressful factor of foreign travel, which is certainly another mark in their favour. Rather than endure the delays, overcrowding and expensive prices that mar almost everyone's experiences in airports, there are holiday parks dotted all over England, and the size of the country makes it possible to reach almost any of them with just a few hours' drive.

A heated swimming pool is standard for most holiday parks, as is a range of entertainment suitable for all the family. A lot of parks will also feature sports courts and sometimes coaching in a range of more unusual sports such as archery and canoeing, meaning that although it may not seem as exotic as getting away from it all to a warmer foreign country, your UK holiday can still offer you something out of the ordinary.

The savings made by holidaying in the UK will often far outweigh the lack of being able to guarantee the weather the way you can by visiting a foreign country. With the variety of locations available in the UK, it is possible to explore a wide variety of landscapes and activities for far less than you may be expecting, making your UK holiday the ideal antidote to the recession.
