Ksrtc Online Reservation

It is 45 days since the Volvo air conditioned services were introduced between the Udupi and Mangalore and the KSRTC is basking in the glory of it. This wonderful service has fetched Rs. 85 lakhs since it was pressed into service which is a great news for KSRTC. The Corporation is now looking towards introducing more buses and the application to this effect is in the offing.

In addition the Kasargod-Mangalore-Manipal service also been started a month ago has also received good response, but only thing that matters is that the frequency of the service was great between each schedule. Mangalore Manipal was 30 minutes each and Manipal-Kasargod was 3 hours each, which holds back the service from going full stream.

Every schedule is full, people wait for our vehicles, sometimes we feel terrible for skipping pick up points after the bus is filled to the brim says Mr. P.B. Karumbaiah Divisional Controller of the KSRTC Mangalore division. But we make sure that no passenger is left behind, but the problem is the bus gets its full seating capacity at the starting point and there is hardly any room for seats for the passengers who get on the way. But the passengers do not mind to travel standing as the bus is very smooth and the air conditioning is so efficient that even standing passengers do not feel any fatigue and they are fresh when they disembark at their respective destinations.

Managing Director of the KSRTC Mr. Gaurav Gupta says we are in the process of finalising application for introducing more buses on both routes with the Regional Transport Authority of Mangalore with notice to the State Transport Authority. But the private bus lobby was objecting to it and were trying to stall the developments. But we are sure that the KSRTC will get additional permits

In the meanwhile the private bus lobby after noticing the popularity of the Volvo services have started heckling the volvo buses in every bus stands by picking up quarrels with the crew. But in one incident a private bus driver was shooed away by the passengers at Surathkal bus stand for trying to delay their bus. But it does not matter as our engines are capable of delivering a top speed of 120 km per hour and no other bus on the road is as powerful as this, we can catch up with any bus say the crew.

They cannot heckle our buses as they are government vehicles and it is displayed on the bus prominently, but our only concern is that the private buses carry couple of goons in their vehicle and they might try to accost the passengers which will be a serious thing to happen say the crew.

At the end of the day the private bus mafia has no way but to fall in line, cut down their violent ways of competition, behave well with the passengers and provide safe and good services to the people
