7 Simple Strategies To Make Money Online

1. Start small. I know you probably want to quit your job tonight and wake up to a boat-load of cash in your inbox tomorrow, but just focus on making that first dollar--it's all down hill from there. Set up a website or free blog using blogger or WordPress, and start promoting something. Try one or two ideas at most when you start, then see what's working, and toss out what's not.

2. Invest time, money or both. The more you invest, the more quickly you can expect to see a return. It doesn't have to cost much, but expect to spend a little money on simple things like setting up a site, promoting your product or service, and getting the right productivity software.

More important than even the money, know that it will take some time to learn and implement new skills. So pull out your calendar and block off time every week to grow your online income. You can start with just a few hours a week and grow it from there.

3. Surround yourself with successful people. Join forums and online communities dedicated to making money from home. There you will find hundreds of people who have succeeded, some of who make well over six figures from their home business. A good group of people committed to helping each other succeed can help grow your income faster than almost anything else you can imagine.

4. Focus on appeal. Most of making money online is all the same no matter what you're promoting. It's all websites, traffic, and sales. So if at first your site or promotion isn't working, change it up and make it better. Ask yourself, what else can I offer to make this even more appealing to my visitors?

When the Wright brothers built their first airplane, they had to modify the design hundreds of times before they had a successful flight. So even if something doesn't work at first, try, try again until you are successful.

5. Leverage your time for maximum payout. Lost money can always be made back. Lost time cannot. Eliminate time wasted on distractions like pointless email, web surfing, phone calls, and other money-sucking interruptions.

Develop strategies to work faster and more efficiently. Stick to your strengths, and outsource the rest with sites like eLance or odesk. Use automation tools to help you minimize the time wasted on repetitive tasks.

Remember why you chose to work from home: to get more freedom. If you have to be glued to a computer for 16 hours a day, it is no different from a day job.

Limit the time you allow yourself to work at home to no more than 6-8 hours a day, and preferably less. That will force you to actually focus and not get stuck or distracted.

6. Build an email list. No matter what you're doing online, you need to have an email list so that you can get website traffic, repeat customers, and even automated income just by sending out an email. And once you've built a list, nurture it by emailing them on a consistent, regular basis.

You can use a service like Aweber or iContact to help you build your email list.

7. Get multiple revenue streams. The easiest way to diversify your income online is to find new products and services to promote. You can find literally thousands of products to promote by joining a quality affiliate program like ClickBank or Commission Junction.

Once you've made your first dollar with your first site, continue to set up more sites promoting more products and services to increase your income. Again, stick to what works, and toss the rest.
