Lowering Your Car Insurance With A Composite Door

This is not an article about being green, otherwise youd be reading all about how great public transport it and how getting a bike or walking more is the way forward, all of which might be true but wont be of interest if your commute if 40 miles and there are no direct trains for example.

So, for those who are under no illusion that theyre getting rid of their cars, read on for how to lower the dreaded car insurance. There are many ways, of course, the most obvious of these being to trade your powerful car with a big engine in for one with less power, a smaller engine and one that is less appealing to all those car thieves out there. Another thing that affects your car insurance is the area in which you live so if you live in an area of high crime and you own an expensive sports car, chances are your insurance will be sky high and itll be even higher if youre under 30 years old and have claimed on your insurance for anything over the last few years.

The final thing that is a big factor in how cheap or expensive your car insurance is is where you park your car. If its off road in a driveway or garage your car insurance should be considerably lower than if you simply park it on the street. And if your garage is alarmed or driveway securely gated, expect it to go down even more.

So its simple, to reduce your car insurance without moving house, trading cars or lying about your age, the easiest way is to invest in some good gates for your driveway or a garage with a solid and secure door. Putting in an adjoining composite door from the garage to the house will also help as not only will you be able to enter the house more securely (a thief would have to get through the garage and internal door to break in) but having an electric garage door will mean you are able to get into your car and lock it before you open the garage door, keeping you as secure as you can possibly be. Sometimes having low house insurance can help with securing a lower rate of car insurance if you go with the same company for both so ensure that you have a composite front door as well as double glazed windows for the ultimate in low quotes.
