The Essentials Of Packing For A Ski Trip

Just like any outdoor activity, you need to be ready with your stuff before going on your long-planned ski trip, especially if it's your first time. The following list would help you enjoy your sport more.

The first thing you need to do is find out which equipment is provided at your ski resort. If the answer is not very much, then you will need to pack boots, skis, and poles. But if you are lucky you will be able to rent them there.

You would need thermal underwear to keep you warm and also long-sleeved shirts and turtle-neck sweaters that can be taken off once you feel hot after some skiing.

A hat, a ski parka, gloves, and muffler should be included in your pack, although these can be removed during the warm part of the day. A thick pair of socks over a thin pair can be worn when you start out.

If you get cold limbs, you should definitely bring hand and foot warmers. It can get cold on the lift and they will be a godsend, especially if the wind picks up.

Take sunglasses or goggles to protect your eyes from the glare of the sun and the snow. You'd be surprised how bright everything is when you're out on the mountain and the sun is out.

Many ski resorts are not just great venues for your favorite sport, but are also high-profile areas for social gathering. Depending on where you are going, keep this in mind when it comes to the clothing that you will wear off the slope.

Casual is fine for going to the ski lodge for a drink once you have finished skiing or need a break in the middle. But in the evening, depending on the bars and restaurants that you may visit, you will probably need more formal wear.
