Chiropractic Doctor In Minneapolis Explains Car Accident Insurance Benefits.

Chiropractic and Minnesota (auto) No-Fault Insurance.

Hi...my name is Dr. Harlan Mittag and I'm the founder of Mittag Holistic Chiropractic in Minneapolis and St. Louis Park, Minnesota.

I have treated patients with injuries from auto accidents for many years and know that many people have questions about their auto insurance.

Minnesota is what is called a No-Fault state. What this means is that no matter who's fault the auto accident is, your auto insurance company is responsible for paying your expenses according to your policy.

There are numerous benefits in auto insurance policies. In Minnesota, the Personal Injury Protection portion of your insurance policy covers you for lost wages, chiropractic and medical expenses, mileage costs and a replacement vehicle. When you seek treatment for your accident related injuries, you can go to whom ever you choose, chiropractor or medical doctor, without a referral.

The medical expense benefit in your policy covers you for a minimum of $20,000 to pay for chiropractic and medical expenses. The work loss and replacement services benefit covers you for a minimum of $20,000 towards lost wages and replacement services. If you are not able to work following your accident, this portion of your policy will pay up to 85% of your wages up to $250 per week. If your accident injuries make it hard for you to do housework, yardwork or things like snow shoveling this part of your policy pays up to $200 per week so that you can pay someone to do these chores.
