Buying Old Keepsakes Online

Many people are turning to online selling to make a little extra money. There are literally tens of thousands of mini online stores through Ebay and Amazon alone. Book sellers, movie, games, antiques, cosmetics, toys, almost anything you can think of someone is selling and selling a lot of. All these items need to be packaged and mailed to the waiting purchaser. Flexible packaging is needed for odd sizes and shapes, media mailers for dvd and books, tubes for pictures and prints, bubble envelops for certain toys and collectibles.

Years ago when my children started to grow up I began to buy old Fisher Price toys on Ebay. It was fun to complete the sets that my children played with they were little. I was shocked at how many buyers and sellers there were, a coalition of people who delighted in old toys that no longer were available through retail distribution. We had many Fisher Price sets when our four children were little but through the years, one piece at a time went missing until most of our sets were incomplete. It was a challenge to find just the right piece at the right price. I loved to buy the lots of "little people" and pile them in our youngest sons stocking for Christmas so he could again play with his camper and town and school sets. I even bought a book that showed me what set contained which pieces so nothing went missing.

I enjoyed winning the bids and grew to be very wise as to what a good price really was and not to get caught up in the buying frenzy. Sometimes one little person would sell for as much as $20.00 but the same little guy might be found in a "lot" with 10 other friends for the same price. The first thrill was winning the bid, the second was when the package appeared in my mailbox. Talk about your flexible packaging, some of those Fisher Price accessories are really odd sizes.

Online sellers keep the mailmen and other carriers hoping. Along with the mailmen becoming busier is the need for mailing supplies to keep all those little keepsakes safe and secure for the trip around the county or world.
