How Should Parents Encourage Children

Teaching children makes parents tired and sometimes depressed. When a new problem occurs, parents tend to manage it with emotion, which often results without what they expect. Sometimes it will form a vicious circle and increase parents' helplessness.

Taking children's psychology into consideration, parents have to foster their children's habits of time planning and behaving well. Therefore, parents can establish a system of encouragement as a reward of children's good behavior by giving them material products or social incentives. In the first place, parents can tell their children how to behave well and right orally. Considering children's weaknesses, parents can consciously create chances for children to modify. For example, if a child is very active and at the same time likes drawing, he can be asked to concentrate on completing a picture. When he finishes doing it, parents give their praise immediately as an inspiration. The child feeling the happiness of being complimented will surely keep on behaving well. In the second place, simple but specific rules can be made to encourage children, like what he will get by doing what. It is very effective to teach children to learn more and cultivate his interests. You can add one point to him if he gets up on time or if he helps to do housework. Gaining ten points per week, he can get a book or be taken to go shopping. Of course, children can be encouraged spiritually. You can leave an area to collect his achievements and to remind him of the sweetness of behaving well.

Many ways are workable. It is better to do this in the proper way according to children's character. The process of teaching children can be fun and fruitful.
