Changshan Archipelago consists of 142 islands, lumps, and shoal rocks, with the land area of 119 square kilometers and the oceanic area of 7,720 square kilometers. The star-studded islands look like beautiful pearls scattered on the northern coastal areas of Yellow Sea. With cool summer and warm winter, it is the only archipelago leisure and summer resort in the north of the Yangtze River of China, which enjoys picturesque natural scenery and exceptional tourist resources.
The Secretary of CPC in Changhai County Committee Hao Ming believed that it was an important measure of transforming the development pattern and adjusting industrial structure to establish the Changshan Archipelago Travel Summer Resort, which would promote the urbanization of Dalian City and improve the function of coastal economic belt in Liaoning.
Sun Guokuan, the head of Changhai County indicated that Changshan Archipelago would be built into an international travelling summer resort integrating the functions of conference, preventing sunstroke, experiencing fishing, ecology fishery sightseeing, as well as the leisure vacation.
