Buick Dealerships In Ft. Myers Say Early Payback Of Bailout Is A Reflection Of Prosperous Times

Is the Spirit of America alive and well again in Detroit? Can we assume that capitalism will reign again and business will rise to meet the needs and wants of the American public or go the way of the Edsel? Who can say? Well, perhaps the following will help you decide. I dont claim to have figured it out, but there are certainly some ideas and facts to ponder.

Just days ago General Motors Chairman/CEO Ed Whitacre proudly stated that GM has now repaid all $5.8 billion of federal loan money with interest, five years ahead of schedule. This was possible, Whitacre said, because of GMs changed business plans and the success of new models such as the Chevy Malibu and Buick Lacrosse.

Buick dealerships in Ft. Myers see this as a sign that GM is back on its feet and will soon be running with the big automakers again. General Motors received about $50 billion from the U.S. and Canadian governments. Most of those funds were turned into company stock. The remaining cash has now been paid back. This is remarkable when you consider that General Motors has been out of bankruptcy less than a year.

GM also has announced that its Fairfax, Kansas plant will add production of the Chevy Malibu, adding desperately-needed jobs for the area. Naples GMC Acadia see this as a very positive move for the company and is confident that the car will continue to be a bestseller.

The un-American part of this whole deal is that the federal government still owns 60.8 percent of General Motors. Not conducive the entrepreneurial spirit of our country, but when GM offers stock to the public the stock-converted part of the loan may be paid back as well.

But bravo! GM youve made the best of bad business decisions, a tanked economy and the humiliation of having to ask Uncle Sam for a loan. Most of us are ready to buy American when the price is right and the quality is proven. I have to admit, my confidence in GM has risen greatly in the last year, seeing the rebirth of the Malibu and the great financing deals being offered. Buick dealerships in Ft. Myers are still offering unbeatable deals on GM models.

Customers of Naples GMC Acadia should check out all the new deals and models. More will be arriving soon, but in the meantime the Chevy Malibu and Silverado models are the best deals Ive seen in a long time. As someone who is looking to buy a new truck, the financing deals from GM combined with the power and comfort of the Silverado cant be beat.
