At one stage or another we all need health-care and the majority of us will have to travel to access health-care. It is far easier to commute in today's world than it ever used to be. There are roads, skies, seas and all of these can be used to get to one place or another. Whilst some people prefer to use their car, others fly on an aeroplane or get a boat somewhere.
If transport did not exist then this world would still be in very different conditions. If there was no transport then many people would have to walk, hitch, or ride a bike. To cross the channel people would need to be very fit and it would still be extremely difficult to visit far off Countries. It is certain that if there was no transport then there would also be no world economy.
Transport is important in this day and age because it would be very difficult to carry out business without it. Businesses would not be able to get supplies of stock. Customers would not be able to visit business premises and gain access to certain services. People would not be able to go on holiday to a different Country without transport. Without transportation a lot of trade would be lost and Countries that rely on holiday makers would lose out.
So many people do not realise that without transport our world would be in a much different state. Yes, we have suffered a global economy crises but, this would have been magnified if there was no transport. We would not be able to get foods from other Countries so our diets would change a lot. We would have to rely on our own ways to get food and would probably have to hunt and kill food ourselves.
Canada seeks to build a cleaner transport system that is friendly on the environment. Residents can use various transport methods to reach different parts of Canada. The transportation system is fairly advanced. In Canada This helps Canadian trade to develop and make the Country richer. A lot of investment has been placed into developing the transport system.
Third world Countries would be in much worse conditions because they would not be able to sell gold or other precious gems to different Countries. Although people in third world Countries are exploited enough as it is, without transport they would probably be in much worse conditions. In other ways this world would probably be a lot better off.
There are many reasons that travellers book flights to Canada and without those visitors then Canada would not make as much money. In the recent events of the volcanic eruption in Iceland when the flights were cancelled, businesses lost money. Even smaller businesses rely on transport to be able to trade. For example, if a florist does not have a fresh supply of flowers from over seas then they would not be able to sell them to customers.
The postal system is also important and without transport then people would not be able to send post. This is especially important for business correspondence and communicating with other businesses. Developing Countries with limited transport find it difficult to make money since it is not as easy to trade with these Countries. For a Country to be profitable then they need to have a good transport system in place so that they can easily trade with one Country or another.
